Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has given the club’s supporters a positive message following their dominant victory in the Nedbank Cup.
Amakhosi defeated Chippa United 3-0 in the Nedbank Cup last 16 on Saturday evening at the FNB Stadium. Amakhosi are looking to win their first trophy in 10 years but still have a long way to go if they are to end their drought.
After the match, Nabi said Chiefs allowed Chippa into the game despite taking an early lead.
“As we said earlier the game was not going to be easy,” Nabi said on SuperSport TV
“We happened to score early in the game but after we noticed at the end of the first half, we let the opponent to take control of the game.
“We tried to rectify that in the second half and the performance was good and the win,” he said.
Nabi says Chiefs will get stronger
“Step by step, step by step, we going to come back. We go step by step, no pressure we work seriously and Kaizer Chiefs I promise you in the future we come back.
“Now we don’t come back, we will come back. Step by step.”
Since taking over, Nabi has won eight out of his 18 matches as Chiefs head coach. His brilliant start has won him over from fans and given how his team has started 2025, Khosi supporters have a reason to standby Nabi.
