South African rising singer Naledi Aphiwe pays tribute to the late Winnie Khumalo.

Winnie passed away on Tuesday at her home, after a brief illness.

Taking to social media, the 18-year-old teased a song which was to honour the music legend.

Naledi captioned post: “Rest in peace to our Wonderful Lady ❤️🤍🕊️Winnie Khumalo,you will always be remembered for your amazing work and voice.”

Meanwhile, Naledi Aphiwe made headlines early this week after being attacked at a recent Mthandeni’s event.

The 18-year-old singer was booed off stage and attacked as the crowd threw bottles at her during performance.

It was said that Naledi triggered the crowd by stepping out the perform after Gatsheni’s name was announced as the next performance.

However, she released a statement, apologising to all parties offended by her act.
