Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng is back and was spotted training with the team again.

iDiski Times reported that the 27-year-old attacker was spotted on Saturday morning training with the team ahead of their Nedbank Cup semi-final clash against Marumo Gallants.

Saleng could make his return to Pirates

“On Saturday morning, as the Buccaneers players were taken through their regular gym session, Saleng was spotted among the players which could be an indication that both the player and the club have smoked the peace pipe after a contractual saga that saw him miss training on numerous occasions and eventually being dropped from the squad,” the publication wrote.

Monnapule Saleng hasn’t featured for Pirates since last year in December. His last match for the Buccaneers was against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League group stages. With the Buccaneers preparing for their crucial Nedbank Cup semi-final clash with Marumo Gallants, Saleng might be unleashed.

The winger could also feature against Pyramids next week as the Sea Robbers host the first leg of the semi-final. Saleng has only played three league matches for Pirates this season, scoring twice. He played a big role earlier this season in ensuring that the Buccaneers retained the MTN8 title. It remains to be seen if Jose Riveiro will include him in his matchday squad.

Do you think Monnapule Saleng will make the matchday squad?
