Mofokeng and Tito amongst four Pirates players at risk of missing the Soweto Derby

Relebohile Mofokeng is one of the four Orlando Pirates players at risk of missing the Soweto Derby next month.

The Buccaneers and Kaizer Chiefsface off for the last time in the league this season on 3 May. The last time the two Soweto giants faced each other, Pirates claimed a 1-0 victory at the FNB Stadium.

According to GOAL, Pirates might miss four key players including Mofokeng ahead of the game against Chiefs.

“Youngster Relebohile Mofokeng has been a key player for Riveiro’s men. However, just like Patrick Maswanganyi, Thalente Mbatha and Tapelo Xoki, Mofokeng is walking on a tight line since he is one booking away from suspension.

“With the Nedbank Cup semi-final game against Marumo Gallants scheduled for Sunday and the Magesi PSL on the horizon, it is interesting to see how the affected personnel will manage themselves to avoid missing out on this big fixture,” the publication said.

Pirates star Mofokeng might get himself booked against Gallants

Mofokeng won a penalty for Pirates the last team the Buccaneers played Chiefs. If the Sea Robbers manage to get a result or control the game against Gallants on Sunday, the likes of Tito and Mofokeng could get themselves booked to miss the Magesi FC match which is before the Soweto Derby.
