MK Party’s Nhlamulo Ndhlela set to quit as a member of Parliament

UMkhonto weSizwe(MK) Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela is set to quit as a member of Parliament.

Ndhlela was recently appointed full-time as the party’s spokesperson and is also now a member of the national high command, the MK Party’s highest-decision making body.

NHLAMULO NDHLELA QUIT AS MK PARTY MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT

Ndhlela told The Citizenhe believes his efforts will be more beneficial to the party than in Parliament.

Ndhlela said he told Zuma that there is a need to teach the culture of uMkhonto weSizwe and bring about some confidence. It seems that there is this perception that members are now being parachuted into certain positions that look wrong and that they are no longer the uMkhonto weSizwe.

MK Party members have recently complained that new prominent members are assigned top positions.

These include former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) co-founder Floyd Shivambu who joined the MK Party in August and was appointed national organiser and now serves as secretary-general. Former public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane also quit the EFF and was appointed convenor for Mpumalanga, and Magasela Mzobe was appointed head of the presidency.
