Mia Le Roux LIKES post criticising Miss Universe CEO

Mia Le Roux’s journey at Miss Universe may be officially over, however the South African queen has hinted that something may be amiss after she liked a post criticising owner Anne Jakrajutatip, also known as Anne JKN.

The controversial CEO – a known transgendered woman – recently made comments praising Miss Universe 2025 Victoria Kjær Theilvig’s “blonde and blue-eyed beauty.”

Victoria – of Denmark – is the first blonde pageant queen from Europe to win the title in over 30 years.

On social media, pageant enthusiasts have been criticising Anne JKN for retweeting transphobic, racist and fat-shaming comments by the likes of Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr.

Ironically, the Thai businesswoman is a transgendered woman who transitioned more than a decade ago.

In a media conference after the crowning, Anne was also accused of “objectifying” Victoria Kjær Theilvig’s beauty.

When one reporter asked what strategic plans were in place for the evolution of Miss Universe, Anne sarcastically responded: “Evolution, evolution? We have blonde and blue eyes, so we’ve come to the ultimate evolution. We don’t need any more evolution. We’ve got the best here”.

Victoria is the first blonde, blue-eyed beauty queen from Europe to be crowned since 1989’s Angela Visser of The Netherlands.

MIA LE ROUX LIKES THE POST CRITICISING ANNE JKN

A clip of Anne JKN’s comments praising Victoria Kjær Theilvig’s beauty and reposting controversial comments about the Miss Universe winner were shared on pageant blogger @missuupdates’ Instagram account.

The pageant blogger shared: “There is no real care for women or women empowerment with this organization. It’s all money”.

The blogger alleged that Miss Universe organisers had attempted to “silence” previous winner Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua and were now using Victoria as a “trophy”.

According to the blogger, the controversy surrounding the pageant came into effect when Anne JKN – through the JKN Global Group – bought the pageant franchise in 2022. The group also owns the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA title franchises. In May, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA both stepped down from their titles, citing their mental health.

Interestingly, Mia Le Roux liked the post criticising the pageant boss’s comments and actions.

After withdrawing, reportedly due to “health concerns”, Miss SA organisers claimed that neither they nor Mia would respond to questions about her Miss Universe exit.
