Meghan gushes over Harry at Invictus Games

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle gave an unscripted speech at the welcome reception for athletes and their friends and families at her husband, Prince Harry’s Invictus Games’s 2025.

MEGHAN MARKLE GUSHES OVER PRINCE HARRY

The Invictus Games, which is an international multi-sport event for wounded, injured and sick military service personnel, both serving and veterans, held by Prince Harry. This year’s Invictus Games kicked off on 8 February and runs until 16 February in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada.

Peoplereported that Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle was confirmed join him at this year’s Invictus Games. At the welcome reception for athletes, friends and families, Meghan gave an unscripted speech. She started by saying she did not plan to speak that night, but she is so excited.

“I was not planning on speaking tonight. We just arrived a couple of hours ago and I touched Canadian soil and I went, ‘feels like home’,” she said, according to New York Post.

“We are so excited and we also recognize most of you are probably so exhausted from how much travel you’ve done, how much adrenaline you have pumping, how excited you are for what is going to be one of the most outstanding, memorable, unforgettable, and connected weeks probably for you and your families,” she continued.

Meghan went on to introduce her husband, Prince Harry.

“We are just thrilled to be here and I would be remiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to introduce someone who means a lot to me and I know means quite a lot to all of you,” she went on to say.

MEGHAN MARKLE: ‘IT MEANS SO MUCH TO HIM’

The Duchess of Sussex said that Prince Harry will be seen at the games and more.

“You will see him throughout this week. You will see him at the games, you will see him probably curling with you and cheering you on at wheelchair basketball,” said Meghan.

She went on to share how Prince Harry was getting ready for the Invictus Games.

“With families…the big rush in the morning and getting ready for school and packing the lunchboxes and making breakfast and my husband is in all of that with all of us,” she continued.

“And then he’ll be on his phone, and Archie will be like, ‘Papa, why are you on your phone?’ and he says, ‘Because it’s Invictus, I’m getting ready for Invictus,” she continued.

Meghan added that the games mean a lot to him.

“It means so much to him. You are his family just as we are his family. And I hope you recognise how much of his heart he has poured into every single beat that has gotten all of you to this week, that’s going to be spectacular,” she added.
