Podcast & Chill’s MacG and Sol Phenduka, as well as countless South Africans, are calling out Elon Musk’s dad, Errol Musk, over his “delusional” views of the country.
The 79-year-old spoke for the second time on the popular platform, which is the biggest podcast on the African continent. This time around, Errol discussed his son’s controversial tweets about racism and “racist laws” in SA, as well as his influence on US President Donald Trump.
Elon was born in Pretoria and immigrated to Canada and later the US. He is now a naturalised American citizen.
MACG ON ERROL MUSK: ‘HE IS DELUSIONAL’
During Monday’s episode of Podcast & Chill, MacG called Errol Musk live on air to chat about Elon’s controversial tweets.
The retired engineer defended his son’s views, adding that Elon – who now heads up the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) – had “said nothing wrong.”.
“That old man sounds delusional,” MacG said after his conversation with Errol had ended.
Co-host Sol Phenduka added that Errol was friends with wealthy black politicians, who had probably benefitted from the unjust Black Economic Equity (BEE) laws in place.
“He’s so out of touch. He lives in a white area [Langebaan]”, said Sol.
He added: “Has he been to Alex [Alexandra township] and taken a walk around?”
During the call, Sol also called out Errol Musk for implying that white farmers were intentionally attacked.
Sol said: “We live in a dangerous country, and a farmer gets attacked because it’s easier because they live in remote areas. We are all victims of crime. No one is trying to wipe out farmers”.
WHAT DID HE SAY?
Errol Musk shares his views on a variety of topics affecting South Africa…
Racism
“We’re very lucky because when I travel here, I see that South Africa has the least racism. There is no racism here. I don’t see any problems”.
AfriForum
“They strike me as a little bit dull, but they don’t cause strike me for causing fear.
“When I hear people singing ‘Kill the Boer,’ ‘Kill the white man,’ that worries me. I don’t hear any white people saying things like that.”
Expropriation Act
“That’s scary. The thing is not to scare people away from South Africa.
“Black people and white people need each other, so we have to put an end to all this nonsense.”

Apartheid
“Apartheid ended over 30 years ago, we don’t have Apartheid
“We’re finished with Apartheid. We need to get over it, forget about it. We can’t blame everything on Apartheid”.
White privilege, racial inequality, legislature
Of my acquaintances, maybe 50 or so, hlf of them are black, and half of them are white. Virtually all the black people I know are very, very wealthy in South Africa. Nearly all the white people I know, half of them striuggling to survive. Thats the reality of South Africa”.
“We need to give opportunities across the board to everyone in the country. When we hear about taking away properties, we see Zimbabwe. We’re trying to avoid that in South Africa”
Elon Musk’s tweets
“He’s doing the right thing. We have to get rid of people who are taking the money and giving it to their friend.s
“Elon is part of the government, he is a member of their cabinet He is not allowed to have independent ideas. He has to check everything he says with the rest of the government.
“Elon hasn’t said anything terrible about South Africa. He said you can’t target people on any kind of racist laws
