After suffering a stroke in 2022, renowned musician L’vovo Derrango is now on a mission to reclaim his life.

The singer has taken to social media, in which he documented videos of himself making steady progress in pursuit of regaining his full mobility. The effects of a stroke is not child’s play with many of its victims often taking years to regain their speech and ability to walk with the boldness they once did.

Fortunately, L’vovo, whose real name is Thokozani Ndlovu, has a big support system alongside him to ensure that he does not grow weary.

In one post, he shared a video of himself lifting dumbbells along with a caption that read, “In God we trust.”

While his journey to recovery may be one of the most important things on his priority list, he has ensured that he does not lack another important part of his life – making music.

He and Grammy-award-winning producer Zakes Bantwini have been spending several hours in the studio as they prepare themselves to get South Africans moving on the dance floor.

Last year he revealed that Zakes was among a list of artists he would one day prefer to work alongside and that dream has finally materialised.

Their friendship has now transcended beyond the studio room as they are often spotted posing alongside one another during their leisure.

In one post, L’vovo honoured the Osama hitmaker for his professionality, highlighting what a privilege it is to work alongside him.

In another post, he wrote: “The love of the brother is pure is not compared to any other thing I love you mfanakithi uthando lunye”
