L-Tido warns against fake alcohol
Rapper and podcaster L-Tido has urged South Africans to be cautious about alcohol consumption, following disturbing reports about counterfeit alcohol flooding the market.
Taking to social media, the star reacted to a video showing South African Police Service (SAPS) officials discovering a facility where fake alcoholic beverages were being manufactured.
Concerned by what he saw, L-Tido shared the video and wrote, “Bafethu, let’s quit alcohol… drinking is becoming an extreme sport.”
The post quickly gained attention, with users flooding the comments section to share their reactions.
One user wrote, “N!ggas at the club be showing off with bottles made in a bathroom.”
Another warned the police directly: “Yhoooo!!! @SAPoliceService your employees are busy smelling chemicals off the bottle. Yhooo, our country bathong. No gloves, vokol, while dealing with evil evidence. Yhooo, they should take those jerry cans and load them as evidence to be tested in a lab.”
A concerned fan added, “The amount of ethanol these guys are feeding us is way over.”
