Award-winning radio host Lerato Kganyago’s husband, Thamsanga ‘Thami’ Ndlala, is trending after reportedly buying Sterland Mall in Pretoria.
LERATO KGANYAGO’S HUSBAND, THAMI NDALA, EXPANDS PROPERTY PORTFOLIO WITH ‘A MALL‘
The news comes barely a few months after Lerato Kganyago revealed in an Instagram Story posted on 30 December 2024 that the two had bought several buildings and an entire mall in Pretoria.
Taking to the picture-sharing app to share her 2024 big wins, the radio host said they had invested heavily in their property portfolio, adding several buildings and a mall.
Part of her 2024 post reads, “This year had a few challenges, personally… but we bought a few buildings and an entire mall in PTA!”
With many convinced that Lerato Kganyago had missed out on this year’s Valentine’s Day, the radio host just proved many otherwise.
The Day of Love has been named after her in recent years, thanks to Thami Ndlala’s expensive gifts and spending sprees.
As many were connecting the dots about her ‘gift’ this year, Lerato Kgantago shared progress updates on their alleged mall instead.
She shared photos of the Sterland Mall in Pretoria, which has since been renamed Ndlala Mall. Against the post, Mzansi was convinced that this was the new mall she said the two had bought in Pretoria.
Apart from that, it seems her husband is also the brains behind the mall’s makeover after ‘By Thami Ndlala’ was included as signage.
Lerato Kganyago announced that the mall is nearing completion, and additional facilities have also been included in its new plan.
Some of the new additions include restaurants, residential apartments, and a nightclub.
However, contrary to the reports, no official announcement about the new ownership has been made.
In recent years, the mall on the corner of Steve Biko and Pretorius Streets Sunnyside, Arcadia, has been the ultimate leisure and entertainment destination in central Pretoria.
MAKING HEADLINES
This is not the first time the two have made headlines with their property portfolio worth millions.
In 2022, Lerato Kganyago’s husband, Thami Ndlala, reportedly gifted her the luxury boutique hotel 12 Hillel On Villa and Spa.
Against the big gesture that made headlines, City Press reported that sources had claimed Kganyago was only the “face of 12 On Hillel Villa and Spa, not its owner.”
The news set social media abuzz, leading to an official statement being released to clarify the damning reports.
The statement also revealed that Lerato Kganyago owned the Amour restaurant and was part owner of the luxury hotel.
