Fresh after the Nedbank Cup final win, shock rumours of Nasreddine Nabi leaving Kaizer Chiefs have surfaced.

Nabi delivered Chiefs’ first trophy since 2015, breaking a 10-year drought for the club, but could it be his last?

Chiefs won the Nedbank Cup, first trophy in 10-years

When Chiefs dug deep to lift the Nedbank Cup title, many felt it was season saving and momentum saving. But in the post-match press conference, Nabi refused to believe the triumph was season salvaging. He stated that a club of the stature of Amakhosi should be winning trophies regularly. He is also of the impression that they should always be challenging for top honours too.

Rumours they’re set to sack Nabi

Now that may have been a sentiment also shared by the powers that be at the club. According to reports that surfaced early on Monday, Chiefs are set to part ways with Nabi and his technical team. Now following those rumours the Tunisian has broken the silence!

Coach breaks silent

“I’m very surprised about these rumours because we’re (Chiefs) concentrated on the remaining two games. We need to play these games with a final attitude, with a final spirit, because it’s very important for a top-eight finish. I want to finish in the top eight. We have to concentrate on the remaining two games. We want our players to remain focused and maintain a positive attitude for the remaining two games. I don’t want to lose the momentum that the cup has created. I still have a contract. I’m not worried about that [exit reports]. I don’t think this is the best time to discuss this.” Said the coach speaking to MSW courtesy of FARPost

Should Amakhosi keep him or cut their losses?

Nabi has always been adamant that he is in a process at Chiefs, but will he exit before it really takes off? Chiefs fans, should the stay or go? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab.
