Nkandla: Former ANC spokesperson Mafika Mndebele has compared the MK Party to George Orwell’s Animal Farm, saying “all comrades are equal but some are born Zuma’s.” The KZN legislature member made the remarks in an open letter after Floyd Shivambu left the MK Party. “Floyd Shivambu was once a promising young revolutionary. He came with ideas and strategy, wanting to become MKP’s Squealer – the smooth-talking pig from Animal Farm. But poor Floyd forgot the golden rule: in MKP, you must be a pig – and more specifically, a Zuma – to survive. Despite his cleverness and revolutionary instincts, he was not born into the kraal,” Mndebele said.
New Hanover: EFF leaders led by KZN Chairperson Mongezi Thwala supported parents at New Hanover Magistrate’s Court on Thursday whose three primary school children were killed by a white farmer. The farmer ran over the children in Dalton outside Pietermaritzburg, then hit their car and fled. The incident last month sparked racial tensions, especially with American President Donald Trump’s claims about white farm attacks in South Africa.
Ulundi: Former Zulu Prime Minister Rev. Thulasizwe Buthelezi is warning people about fake Facebook pages pretending to be him. His spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila says criminals are using these fake pages to trick and rob people. He made it clear that Buthelezi doesn’t have Facebook. “Any page claiming to be Buthelezi is fake. People must be very careful and report such pages immediately,” Mzila said.
