Kimberley is about to shine brighter than ever as Glow Fest 2025 arrives at the Flamingo Casino this weekend.
KIMBERLEY’S GLOW FEST
Running from Friday, 11 April to Sunday, 13 April, this magical light festival promises to dazzle visitors with over a million lights and captivating attractions.
The festival builds on its successful debut in Sandton, Johannesburg, in 2023.
Now, it’s Kimberley’s turn to experience the wonder. Flamingo Casino’s entertainment grounds will transform into an illuminated wonderland.
It will showcase vibrant light displays, cultural celebrations, and breathtaking art installations.
THEMES AT THE GLOW FEST
This year’s themes are as diverse as they are enchanting.
From wildlife and prehistoric exhibits to festive displays and interactive Glow Village props, the festival highlights South Africa’s rich heritage.
It also aims to raise awareness about endangered species through stunning illuminated art.
Visitors can marvel at life-sized lanterns depicting animals from across the globe.
THE GLOW VILLAGE
Walk through a giant glowing shark to enter the exhibition or admire illuminated statues of lions, giraffes, polar bears, kangaroos, and more.
“It’s a unique way to combine art and conservation,” says event organiser Thandi Mokoena. “We want people to leave inspired.”
Glow Fest is more than just a visual feast. The Glow Village offers interactive lighting props and photo booths for unforgettable family moments.
DANCE FUN AT THE FESTIVAL
Dance enthusiasts can enjoy the Glow Concert Dance, a live performance featuring dancers in LED costumes inspired by butterflies and astronomy.
These performances blend freestyle and Afrofusion dance styles in a mesmerising display.
“The dance floor will be electric,” says performer Sipho Dlamini. “It’s unlike anything Kimberley has seen before.”
The festival runs daily from 14:00 to 22:00.
GLOW FEST TICKET PRICES
Tickets range from R100 to R400 per person, with early bird prices starting at R50, available until Thursday, 10 April. Capacity is limited, so booking online is essential to avoid disappointment.

- Section A: Enchanted Wonderland with oversized illuminated props.
- Section B: Life-sized animal lanterns from around the world.
- Section C: Glow Village Interactive Photo Booth.
