Reality TV personality Kim Kardashian has graduated from law school after six years, dedicating her academic achievement to her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr, who was a lawyer.

Kim enrolled in the Law Office Study Programme in 2018 and dedicated 18 hours weekly to her legal studies for over six years.

“I finally graduated law school after six years,” wrote Kim on her Instagram.

Kardashian Sr. died in 2003. He was part of O.J. Simpson’s legal team in 1994 during O.J.’s publicised murder trial.

For their mother’s graduation ceremony, Kim’s kids wore suits and looked like lawyers to pay homage to their grandfather.

Earlier this year, Simpson’s estate denied Kim the opportunity to buy a bible that her father had gifted to Simpson. The bible is made special by a message Kim’s father wrote for the former National Football League star.

“O.J., this book will help,” the note reads. “God loves, and he will speak to you with his words. Read this book every day. God has a definite plan for your life. You are his child, and he will use you again. I love you and God loves you.”

Kim’s offer was reportedly rejected because, according to OJ’s estate executor Malcolm LaVergne, obtaining the proper paperwork to sell the item outside the auction would cost around the same amount in legal fees.

“The amount is why I had no choice, because why would I spend $15 000 (about R270 000) of estate money – why would I spend $15 000 in attorney’s fees – to sell it to Kim for $15 000,” LaVergne is quoted as saying in The Mirror.

Kim in court

Kim told a Paris court on Tuesday she feared she was going to be killed by masked men who robbed her at gunpoint of millions of dollars of jewellery during the French capital’s fashion week.

Ten suspects have been on trial since late April over the armed robbery in 2016, which saw jewellery worth some $10 million stolen from the reality TV star and influencer.

“I’m Kim Kardashian and I just want to thank everyone, especially the French authorities, for allowing me to testify today and tell my truth,” she told the packed court as she began giving evidence, wearing a black suit.

The trial has attracted huge media attention, with close to 500 reporters accredited. Crowds flocked around the courthouse on Paris’s historic Île de la Cité, with fans hoping for a glimpse of the celebrity.

“I came to Paris for Fashion Week and Paris is always a place I love so much,” Kardashian said as she gave the court her account of the night of 2-3 October, 2016 when she was robbed while staying at an exclusive, discreet hotel in central Paris.
