While her appearance at the event was meant to be a celebration of her work, it quickly turned into a conversation about her altered look.
A video clip from the red carpet interview has since gone viral, with many users commenting on the drastic change in her face.
Despite widespread knowledge that she invested heavily in the procedure, not everyone is impressed.
Radio personality Sol Phenduka reacted to the transformation with a heartbreak emoji, expressing subtle disappointment.
Others took a harsher tone, criticizing both her new facial features and the gradual return of her natural skin tone—after years of skin-lightening treatments.
One user questioned, “What happens to her driver’s license and ID photos? Do they follow the same processes?”
Another shared, “This is quite sad. It may have started as attention-seeking, but now it seems she needs someone who understands the DSMV.”
Comments ranged from mocking to concerned, with some calling her new appearance a “hot mess” and others labeling it a “cry for help.”
A particularly critical user wrote, “This is the fate of most influencers and slay queens. The more you obsess over looks when you’re young, the harder it becomes to age. I mean, who would make Khanyi their wife now?”
