Kaizer Chiefs to forget Olunga and Mayele for other African striker

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly made Young African striker Prince Dube their priority target amid Michael Olunga and Fiston Mayele interest.

The 28-year-old striker has, sometimes single handily, hoisted the Tanzanian giants to the top of the table, four points clear of Simba.

According to reports, “the club [Kaizer Chiefs] is evaluating the realistic chances of signing a striker, and as things stand, Prince [Dube] looks the most promising option.”

“The other strikers they have been eyeing, such as Michael Olunga and Fiston Mayele, appear difficult to secure, which is why attention has shifted to Dube. He’s also performing well for Yanga at the moment,

“There are other positions the club wants to reinforce. But the striker and left-back positions are at the top of the agenda. The striker they are currently focusing on is Prince Dube from Yanga in Tanzania.”

Nabi under fire

Behind the scenes, Kaizer Chiefs are becoming sceptical about Nasreddine Nabi’s impact:

“It’s getting hard and tougher for the management team now,” SoccerLadumareported on Kaizer Chiefs.

“It’s believed that they thought by now the results would have started to show as the coach came with high expectations, but things are not working according to plan,

“Apparently, that’s what is not making them happy. They don’t just want the team to play well. No. They want results and so far they have lost to the all so-called big teams,” the publication reported.

“That’s the other reason why management is not happy so as they feel they have given him enough time to show what he can do for the team. They think and believe that they have a great squad which can easily compete and be up there among Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates,

“Because they are failing to do that, it’s why management is dissatisfied and unhappy with the results and the coach right now.”
