Kaizer Chiefs will have to release one of these players due to PSL regulations.
Kaizer Chiefs currently have a total of five foreign-based players.
However, Edmilson Dove is set to return to the club. Meaning, Amakhosi will have to release one of their foreign players.
CHIEFS TO RELEASE A FOREIGN-BASED PLAYER
Currently, Fiacre Ntwari, Inacio Miguel, Given Msimango, Edson Castillo and Christian Saille are registered as Chiefs foreign-based players.
Meaning, when Dove returns one of these men will have to leave Chiefs.
As things stand, Saille is the player most likely to leave. In fact, he was not a part of Nasreddine Nabi’s plans but was retained due to Amakhosi failing to recruit any new attackers in the last transfer window.
Now, they are determined to sign a striker. Furthermore, Saile has failed to impress management or fans since being given a new chance. The likes of Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez have shown more promise on attack. Meanwhile, Amakhosi are planning to bring in an attacker or two,
Therefore, Saile will likely leave Chiefs this transfer window.
AMAKHOSI LINE UP REPLACEMENTS
Amakhosi has lined up a plethora of attacking targets already.
So, Oswin Appollis is Chiefs’ main target but they face stiff competition from Orlando Pirates in the race for the Bafana Bafana speedsters signature.
However, both sides have just over two weeks left to try and lure him over. Meanwhile, Fiston Mayele and Zakhele Lepasa are both reported linked with Amakhosi. However, neither Chiefs nor Pirates have confirmed the latter links.
