Kaizer Chiefs pull the plug on North African sensation!

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly decided to call it quits on long-term target Fiston Mayele.

The Congolese striker is a wanted man as he continues to shine in the Champions League, scoring a brace in the quarter-finals and semi-finals. Pyramids face Mamelodi Sundowns this Saturday in the two-legged finale.

Mayele’s rising stock price is the reason for Kaizer Chiefs acquittal.

“Almost every time they want to sign him the price goes up because there are other clubs interested in him as well, and now it’s believed that Pyramids are extending his contract which makes it even harder to convince them to let him go,” a source revealed.

“So, it’s for these reasons that the club is believed to have reached a decision to give up on Mayele for now.”

Nabi out?

Question marks still loom over Nasreddine Nabi’s future at Kaizer Chiefs, albeit leading the club to their first trophy in ten-years.

On the contrary, the Tunisian tactician has some demands of his own.

“I wouldn’t be honest if say that I’m gonna stay if the club doesn’t allow me to get all the tools to succeed next season because they have promised, and myself, I have promised the fans that I want to build a successful team that will compete in every competition to win trophies.”

“That’s the condition for me to stay [at Chiefs] because I don’t feel that I want to go through what I went through this season.”
