Nabi’s side have limped to 30 points after 25 league games, and face the real threat of finishing outside of the top-eight once again.
Kaizer Chiefs have once again fallen well short of rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates in the league.
And now, drastic measures are set to be implemented at Naturena to get the club’s players to perform better!
“You know it’s a known factor that everyone was disappointed with that loss. It’s not just about the loss but the way the team lost the game,” – an insider at Kaizer Chiefs told Soccer Laduma.
“That’s why it’s believed that they took a decision to punish the players by fining them. Normally there is a game bonus whether you win or draw but this time around each player who was in the matchday squad will apparently have his salary deducted as part of the fine. This is not the first time the team is doing this. They have done it in the past and they believe it works.”
The publication further claims the money collected by the club will be donated to charity.
Nabi’s side do however have a major chance to rescue their season in the form of the Nedbank Cup.
Kaizer Chiefs will face arch rivals Orlando Pirates in the final next week.
