Things have just gone from bad to worse for Kaizer Chiefs and this player.
Kaizer Chiefs will be without one of their regular players for the next two matches.
This man has been a regular for Amakhosi under Nasreddine Nabi this season. However, this will not be the case for a while after he was served a suspension from the PSL.
CHIEFS STAR SUSPENDED
Inacio Miguel will miss Chiefs’ next two matches in the Betway Premiership, according to SNL.
Meaning, he will be unavailable for selection for Amakhosi’s up-and-coming matches against Richards Bay (27 November) and Royal AM (30 November 2024).
This comes after the Amakhosi defender was shown red in the 54th minute of the match during their 4-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Cup.
Moreover, Miguel has returned from another suspension. Amakhosi’s defender was suspended for the Betway Premiership fixture against Magesi FC. Now, he is suspended again having only just returned to the field of play. Furthermore, as mentioned, this time he will miss two fixtures.
OPPORTUNITY FOR AMAKHOSI DEFENDERS TO STAKE A CLAIM
Under Nabi, Miguel has been a regular starter alongside Bafana Bafana defender, Rushwin Dortley.
However, Chiefs’ coach will have to select a new centre back partner for Dortley in the next two round of action. So, Given Msimango is the man expected to start. Meanwhile, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is desperate to get some playing time.
Ultimately, this serves as a golden chance for the defender to save his Amakhosi career. This is because he has struggled for game time under Nabi and is one of EIGHT Chiefs players heading to of Naturena.
Meanwhile, Zitha Kwinika, who finds himself in a similar position, will be hoping to earn a rare opportunity off of the bench.
