Introducing, 19-year old utility defender, Kabelo Nkgwesa.

So, for those who watch the DDC, they will have seen the stout and calm defensive abilities of Nkgwesa. He is steady and composed at the back and solid in the air.

Furthermore, now he is set to become Chiefs’ latest player. Meaning, he has just signed a contract with the Soweto giants. Therefore, he is officially Amakhosi’s newest player.

So, he joins a list of talented youngsters who have recently earned promotion.

In recent seasons, Bontle Molefe, Aden McCarthy, Samkelo Zwane, Mfundo Vilakazi, Mduduzi Shabalala and Wandile Duba have made the step up from DDC to the Chiefs first team.

Shabalala is now a regular and an Amakhosi fan-favourite. Whilst, Molefe and McCarthy continue to train with the first team as we eagerly await their senior debuts. Molefe has been earmarked for big things.

Meanwhile, McCarthy is one of several players likely to be loaned out at the end of the season. He joins this R10-million fan-favourite who is also part of over R50-million worth of Chiefs stars linked with exits.
