Following Itumeleng Khune’s twenty-five-year reign between the sticks, Kaizer Chiefshave faced uncertainty in the number one position.

AmaKhosi, uncertain of who to start, have fielded three keepers in the league this season, swapping between Brandon Peterson, Fierce Ntwari and Bruce Bvuma – the latter seems to have solidified the starting role of late.

According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs are considering bringing another goalkeeper to the squad: Xolani Ngcobo.

The Royal AM shot-stopper faces an uncertain future in Durban, prompting the Glamour Boys to monitor the 31-year-old.

Ngcobo rumours

“There were other teams that had also shown interest before but the one that has inquired about him in recent times after what is happening at the club is Kaizer Chiefs,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.

“They have shown serious interest and have inquired. But with the current situation at Royal AM there is nothing much we can say,

“I think they will wait on what is going to happen first as they monitor the situation. But they are interested in him.”

Salum to Kaizer Chiefs?

“Feisal Salum has made his decision and informed the club that he will not extend his contract,” Africafoot.com commented.

“He is enjoying his experience at Azam, a big club, but he wants to explore new opportunities at the end of the season,

“A move to Kaizer Chiefs? It is still too early to say for sure, but it is a very serious possibility.”
