Chiefs are looking to have their first overhaul under coach Nasreddine Nabi, opening space for new signings.
Chiefs looking to overhaul squad
If Chiefs are to have that overhaul and replace those players with better players, they will have to move smart. That could mean signing players on the cheap and in other instances look to get them on a free transfer if possible. One of the players that could fit that bill is Stellenbosch FC midfielder Sihle Nduli. The player has also been the subject of interest from Amakhosi in the recent past.
Now according to Soccer-Laduma,Chiefs could be looking to sign Nduli on a free transfer in the next window.
Targeting free signing of Nduli
“What we know and believe is that Sihle’s (Nduli) contract is coming to an end in June and there is nothing yet from Stellenbosch FC concerning his contract and this would give Kaizer Chiefs the chance to sign him as a free agent. No, there is nothing yet at the moment from Chiefs (in terms of making an official move) but this could prompt them to take action,” said one source.
Another source has insisted that Chiefs could face strong competition from Stellenbosch for Nduli still!
Stellenbosch looking to renew deal
“We don’t think it will be easy to let Sihle (Nduli) to just leave like that. He is one of the players that the club really depends on and it’s believed that they are working on renewing his contract. But you know in football anything can happen but let’s wait and see before the end of the season,” said the source.
