Kaizer Chiefs loanee to be axed by PSL rivals?

A premature return to Kaizer Chiefs is on the cards for Sabelo Radebe, who joined Richards Bay on a season-long loan.

It’s not the youngster’s performances causing the Kwa-Zulu Natal outfit to question his position; rather, it’s a bid to counteract financial difficulties.

Chairman Sfiso Jomo Biyela has dismissed these claims, saying, “we are not going to do that. He is a good player and is playing.

However, a source close to Richard’s Bay FC believes otherwise:

“The club is in the process of cutting off the players that they think are not really adding value to the team in terms of playing while at the same time earning a reasonable salary. You know they did that with Thabang Sibanyoni who was on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns,” Biyela added.

“Now they are set to release Sabelo Radebe from Kaizer Chiefs. His loan deal is apparently going to be cut short and he will be released earlier than expected.”

Moutang Junior defends PSL

Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Moutang Junior has hit back at accusations claiming PSL clubs are reluctant to sell to the Soweto giants.

“To be fair, I don’t even entertain that we’re here all the other clubs are our partners. We are stakeholders in the league, we need each other. They need us. We need them. And it’s a situation of us coming to negotiations,” he told iDiski Times.

“They always will have their standpoint. They want to keep their best players. If you had to ask me, anybody coming to ask, you know, ‘sell us Shabalala’, I would say, No.

“It’s part of negotiations. It’s part of the industry. It’s part of the business. They have their goals they want to achieve. We have ours. So it’s about us engaging in a positive way and trying your best you can to achieve the goals.

“So we respect them and respect they respect us. And it’s part of the industry, and you find that, you know, worldwide.”
