Kaizer Chiefs will have another opportunity to improve what is a weak squad compared to Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

NASREDDINE NABI CONFIRMS KAIZER CHIEFS’ TRANSFER PLANS

Kaizer Chiefs supporters will not be smiling at the office on Monday. Amakhosi failed to qualify for the MTN8 after Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Polokwane City left the Soweto giants in ninth position.

With the club headed to the CAF Confederation Cup next season after winning the Nedbank Cup, Kaizer Chiefs are expected to sign the best available talent before the 2025/2026 Betway Premiership season kicks off in August.

“I think yesterday we had an exchange with the Chairman, we know exactly what needs to be done in terms of players,” coach Nasreddine Nabi told the media via iDiski Times.

“I will not say how many or which players we need but the recruitment department is working very hard and knows the needs of the team and contact has already started. We hope that when we get what we need, we are sure the team will improve a lot.

“The management knows already. We’ve had a couple of meetings, and they know what needs to be done and which areas need improvement,” the Kaizer Chiefs mentor continued.

“About the evaluation, obviously our league finish was not expected or what I feel we deserved, it’s not a good standing but on the other hand, it was a difficult season but we managed to win a cup – and I would not rate myself but I would rate this season, which I consider not to be a negative season due to winning a cup.”

“We managed to get further in our process as now we know exactly what needs to be done, even if I admit I’m not happy with the finish in the league,” the Kaizer Chiefs coach concluded.
