Kaizer Chiefs flop set to join PSL strugglers on loan

Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane is set to join PSL strugglers Richards Bay FC on loan.

According to FARPost, talks between Chiefs and The Natal Rich Boyz are finalised, and Mdantsane is heading there for the remainder of the season.

And that’s because he has fallen down the pecking order under Nasreddine Nabi with no appearance to his name this term.

Mdantsane’s lack of game time can largely be attributed to the fact that he missed the club’s pre-season due to injury.

He reportedly suffered a broken due in a car accident he was involved in just before Chiefs returned from the off-season.

Players such as Tebogo Potsane and George Matlou have since moved ahead of him in the pecking order.

And the Chiefs technical team saw the need to loan him out to Richards Bay FC for the next four months.

He will reunite with former teammate Sabelo Radebe who is also on loan from the Soweto giants until June 2025.

Mdantsane’s current contract with Chiefs expires in June 2026, and he understands the importance of using this chance to stay longer at Naturena.

There were high expectations on Mdantsane when he first joined Chiefs but he has turned out to be a flop.

The 30-year-old featured in just 16 competitive matches for Chiefs without scoring while he registered just two assists.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO OFFLOAD MDANTSANE TO RICHARDS BAY FC

“Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Richards Bay,” reads part of the report.

“The two clubs have finalised the loan transfer, and the midfielder is scheduled to travel to KwaZulu-Natal to complete his move.”
