Kaizer Chiefs have a while to wait until their next bread-and-butter clash in the Betway Premiership. Here are their next five.
Amakhosi must collect points in their remaining tests for 2024
The Glamour Boys have stumbled somewhat in recent league matches, losing to Sundowns and SuperSport and only mustering a 2-2 draw with new boys Magesi. They’re already 11 points adrift of the title pace set by fierce rivals Orlando Pirates.

Miguel returns for blockbuster Sundowns clash
After sitting out the 2-2 draw with Magesi because of an accumulation of yellows, impressive Angolan Inacio Miguel should return alongside Rushwin Dortley in the heart of defence defence. Wandile Duba and Samkelo Zwane are also potential returnees. It’s also highly likely that Gaston Sirino will be picked against his old side. It’s a toss-up between Wandile Duba and Mfundo Vilakazi for a wide attacking berth. However, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo could come out of the side as he gradually finds full fitness after numerous injury setbacks.

The Bimenyimana rollercoaster ride continues
Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Caleb Bimenyimana’s professional career has already included several highs and lows. The tall Burundian didn’t make the grade at Naturena and left the Glamour Boys after a single season. He moved onto the Libyan side Al Ahli Benghazi but didn’t make a single appearance for them after sustaining a serious injury while away with his country. Although he’s still recovering from a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury, the giant forward is signing with Persian Gulf Pro League side Zob Ahan. That’s via iDiski Times. Caleb will come up against Pitso Mosimane who’s recently signed as the manager of Esteghlal F.C. who are languishing in seventh with 13 points after 10 games.
