Kaizer Chiefs decide to part ways with R12-million international

Kaizer Chiefs have just made a huge decision to part ways with one of their most valuable players.

Kaizer Chiefs have to release one player, according to the PSL regulations.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi management have reportedly told this star that his days as an Amakhosi player are numbered with his contract set to expire in June.

CHIEFS INFORM PLAYER THAT HE WILL BE LEAVING

Chiefs defender, Edmilson Dove is set to part ways with Amakhosi.

“The team has reached that decision looking at the situation around defenders and mainly left back that he is apparently not needed. The club is believed to have communicated with the player that he is not needed,” the report read on Soccer-Laduma.

Meaning, Amakhosi can open up a much-needed foreign spot.

Currently, Chiefs have five foreign-based players. Fiacre Ntwari, Inacio Miguel, Given Msimango, Edson Castillo, Christian Saille occupy these spots.

Meaning, Chiefs have to release one player in order to sign an international striker. Furthermore, if they do decide to let Dove play out the remainder of his contract one of the above players will have to leave.

A COUPLE OF FOREIGN-BASED AMAKHOSI STARS SET TO LEAVE

Dove is one of two international Chiefs players linked with an exit.

Moreover, Christian Saille is one of several Amakhosi stars heading out of Naturena. This is because he has failed to impress Nasreddine Nabi and Chiefs management.

In fact, he was not a part of Nabi’s plans but was retained due to Amakhosi failing to sign a striker in the recent transfer window.

SHOULD DOVE RETURN TO CHIEFS AND PLAY OUT HIS CONTRACT OR SHOULD HE LEAVE THIS JANUARY?
