Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are in another transfer battle.
This time, it concerns SuperSport wing-back Neo Rapoo, who, at the age of nineteen, has amassed twelve league appearances this season, suggesting him to be a major prospect for the future, a sentiment further solidified by his SA U20 AFCON-winning performance.
“Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are both keen to sign SuperSport United left-back Neo Rapoo ahead of the new season,” an inside source revealed.
“His performances as he led South Africa U20 to the Africa Cup of Nations title earned him interest in Scandinavia and the Gulf but sources as Matsatsansa have confirmed Chiefs and Pirates are both seriously after the player who is seen as future senior national team left-back.”
“With Orlando Pirates having released Paseka Mako and the retirement of Innocent Maela, their interest on the promising full-back comes as no surprise, while Chiefs are looking to remedy a position that has plagued them in the last couple of seasons.”
Another player battle
Meanwhile, another Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs have another shared, invested intrest in AmaZulu star Rowan Human who has informed his current club that he will not renew his contract for next season.
“AmaZulu FC midfielder Rowan Human has been offered to Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs by his representatives as he is set to leave the club on a free transfer. Human will leave Usuthu at the end of June after his contract expires after the 24-year-old failed to reach an agreement with the club on a new contract,” a source revealed.
“Human has been offered to both Soweto giants by his representatives and it could only be a matter of time before he gets snapped up as he will be a free agent and rediscovered his old form.”
