After spending just over a year away from the cameras to shift her attention to her family, renowned actress Jessica Nkosi is now eager to make her comeback.
The actress has been enjoying life as a mother recently. In an interview with the entertainment publication, TshisaLive, she opened up about what life was like following the birth of her first child, explaining that she immediately jumped right back into work two months after giving birth.
With the birth of her second child, however, she felt that it would be nice if she had experienced the full journey of motherhood, which is getting to bond with her children and be actively involved in school drop-offs and spend more time with them.
Despite experiencing the loss of her salary since she was no longer acting, life has been nothing short of amazing for the young mother.
As an influencer, she has continued to work alongside various brands, and the family was able to stay afloat.
Meanwhile, the words “lights, camera, and action” will continue to hold a special place in her heart, which is why she will soon return to the screen.
Speaking to the above-mentioned publication, she stated: “I feel like acting was my therapy. It’s nice to just get out of Jessica Nkosi and dive into somebody else’s body and be obsessed with their lives. I enjoyed that. I studied acting, so it’s where my comfort is.”
“I left the show I was on to focus on my kids. I had never experienced school drop-offs before. Now, it’s something I do on a regular basis. It’s been a year-and-a-half. It’s exciting to get back, but I have also been enjoying being a mom.”
She highlighted that the acting bug will always be inside of her, and this is what has motivated her to make a comeback after one and a half years away from the set.
“I will be back soon,” I will be back soon she said.
Last year South Africans experienced a different side of the talented actress after she graced the stage during her performance on the singing competition, The Masked Singer SA, singing Miley Cyrus’ song Flowers.
