Multi-award-winning American rapper Jay-Z is in celebratory mode after a civil lawsuit against him and disgraced rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs was dropped.

JAY-Z REJOICES AS SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES ARE DISMISSED

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was recently embroiled in shocking sexual abuse allegations. and he has been cleared of them

This comes after an unidentified accuser alleged that the rapper and Diddy sexually assaulted her in 2000. She claimed that the incident took place during an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty.

She also claimed that an unnamed female celebrity witnessed the event. Initially, she had filed a lawsuit against Diddy in October and, in December, named Jay-Z as the second celebrity who was allegedly involved in the incident.

Sky News reports that a filing in federal court in Manhattan revealed the woman voluntarily dismissed the case with prejudice, barring her from re-filing it.

On Friday, Jay-Z issued a statement on X in response to the lawsuit being dropped against him and Diddy. The father of three called the allegations “laughable.”

“Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious and appalling allegations have been dismissed. This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere.

“The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would also not wish this experience on anyone,” he said.

THE RAPPER SPEAKS OUT ON THE LASTING TRAUMA HIS FAMILY HAS ENDURED

The rapper also continued to mention that the trauma his family has faced due to the allegations cannot be ignored.

“The trauma that my wife, my children, loved ones, and I have endured can never be dismissed. This 1-800 lawyer gets to file a suit hiding behind Jane Doe, and when they quickly realise that the money grab is going to fail, they get to walk away with no repercussions. The system has failed,” he said.
