When winning and dominating becomes too boring for Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus, he thinks of new, creative storylines to entertain the Springbok fans. The team’s next outing is set to include the 36th pair of Springbok siblings in the form of Jaden and Jordan Hendrikse, as they get an opportunity to make an impression on their coach.
It is no secret that the current state of South African rugby is at its peak as the Springbok possess a squad like no other that has crushed anything and anyone that has stood in the way of their victory. Because of this, it has become extra difficult for some players to secure their spot and be announced as part of the squad to don the green and gold jersey. So, when siblings perform at a level that is recognised by Rassie as deserving of a spot on the team, it becomes even more impressive.
Doing what he does best, mzansi’s rugby savant carefully selected and announced the squad he would be taking to the battle against Wales this coming weekend, which includes Jaden Hendrikse at nine (scrumhalf) and Jordan Hendrikse at the ten position (fly-half).
“It’s special when a 9 and 10 are brothers, but first thing, they deserve it!” says coach Rassie.

Sharing the excitement with the Hendrikse brothers are Springbok supporters as they acknowledge the significance of this moment for the family and Mzansi rugby’s history as well.

The team currently looks forward to taking on Wales, however the question on the fans’ minds is not whether the Springboks will win or lose, but rather whether their performance will be reflective of their unique and dominant talent as they failed to impress the masses in their last outing despite walking away with the win.
