I see Pirates winning 1-0; no top 8 for Kaizer Chiefs – Khanye

Former Kaizer Chiefsattacker Junior Khanye has predicted Orlando Pirates to beat Amakhosi in Saturday’s Soweto Derby.

The Soweto giants face each other on Saturday at the FNB Stadium. The last time Chiefs and Pirates played, it was the Buccaneers who emerged victorious in March thanks to Patrick Maswanganyi’s penalty in the dying minutes.

Speaking on iDiski TV, Khanye felt Kaizer Chiefs lacked the players to trouble their rivals. He said that Nasreddine Nabi has not done enough to turn Amakhosi’s fortunes around this season.

“This guy had a preseason; he doesn’t have an excuse. Okay, he had six months to figure his squad out, but what happened in January? According to rumours, he is a high-profile coach, but I want to see him on the touchline,” Khanye said.

“We have also to acknowledge that he doesn’t have quality players, he does not have a goalkeeper.”

Kaizer Chiefs have lost four Soweto derbies in a row

Khnaye has predicted Chiefs to lose to Pirates on Saturday, insisting that the team will find themselves outside the top 8 end of the season.

“Chiefs, for me, going into the game, they lack quality and depth.

“They will never finish in the top 8. In fact, there is no team in the PSL that Kaizer Chiefs can beat; they will even fail to beat half of the teams in the NFD. I don’t think Nabi trusts his players when you look at his style of play,” Khanye added.

“Going into tomorrow’s game, I see Pirates winning 1-0. I don’t see a huge scoreline. If they score two, Chiefs will score one because Pirates have a habit of conceding goals.”

Can the Buccaneers continue their dominance over Chiefs?
