Enhle Mbali shares her experience following first visit in Nigeria
South African actress and fashion entrepreneur Enhle Mbali recently had her followers in stitches after sharing a throwback post recounting her unforgettable experience at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) in Nigeria.
Taking to Instagram, Enhle posted striking photos of herself clad in a bold, form-fitting latex gown by Essie Couture.
“So this just popped up on my Apple Photos, and I immediately started laughing,” she began in her caption.
“I was nominated for an AMA in Nigeria. Obviously, this would’ve been my first time travelling there. Little did I know, whilst designing this dress, how tropical the weather is. To my defence, I did my due diligence, but the experience was very different.”
Though her dress turned heads, Enhle candidly admitted that she wasn’t prepared for the Nigerian heat, especially in latex.
“The dress itself was a flame 🔥. But never have I sweated so much in my life under this latex. If ever there was a water disparity, I could’ve assisted in alleviating the problem,” she joked.
The star went on to add that she had the best jollof rice she’s ever tasted, but the entire trip left her feeling like she’d gone through an unexpected detox.
“I left Nigeria five sizes smaller after sweating under this Essie Couture,” she quipped, ending with a hilarious reminder: “The fan is not for aesthetics!”
