Tshegofatso Mabasa was a slow starter but he’s making up for lost time at Orlando Pirates. When will he reach a massive landmark?
Mabasa eyes out Tso’s Pirates record
The 28-year-old Tshegofatso Mabasa is now 14 goals away from equalling Benedict Vilakazi’s all-time goals tally of 58 for Pirates. The clinical marksman bagged 16 goals in the league last term across 26 matches; 10 of those strikes were for Piraes and six for Swallows. The 26 outings were evenly split between the Soweto sides. Now a fully-fledged Buccaneer, Mabasa will be keen to carry on with his scoring ways and getting back into the bafana setup. He’s been excluded from the latest group to face Lesotho and Benin.
