Cape Town women have come out in droves to take part in a Tyla “lookalike” competition – but do any of them look like the Grammy-winning South African star?
TYLA LOOKALIKE COMPETITION – WHO WINS IT?
On TikTok, YouTubers Dream Boys announced that they would be hosting a Tyla lookalike competition on Saturday, 9 November, at Cape Town’s Green Point Park. The content creators offered a cash prize of R3 000.
Tyla – who is known for her slim physique, braided hair, and sassy attitude – is currently in the US promoting new music, including her single Push 2 Start, which she recently released a music video.
During the lookalike competition, dozens of girls showed off their best impressions of the local singer. In a video that has over 1 million views, several young women are shortlisted for the prize.

SOLD OUT HOME TOUR
Meanwhile, Tyla is gearing up to perform at her sold-out South African tour next month.
The pint-sized star is expected to perform at Cape Town’s GrandWest on 5 December and Pretoria’s SunBet Arena on 7 December.
The concerts will mark the singer’s first-ever homegrown tour since becoming a global sensation.
