Mozambican international star, Edmilson Dove has ‘re-joined’ Kaizer Chiefs.

This comes just months after the right back was de-registered from Amakhosi.

CHIEFS STAR RETURNS

Dove is officially back in Chiefs colors.

“Amakhosi coach, Nasreddine Nabi will be delighted to have Edmilson Dove available for this weekend’s Betway Premiership blockbuster against Mamelodi Sundowns, with the Mozambique international fully recovered from injury,” Chiefs confirmed in a statement.

Meaning, Dove is fit and available for selection against Sundowns.

Nabi has been unable to utilise the experienced defender all season so far, after he ruptured his Achilles tendon during the club’s pre-season training camp in Turkiye and was forced to return home early to undergo reconstructive surgery.

“The 31-year-old is relieved that his ordeal is finally over and cannot wait to return to the pitch to serve Amakhosi’s cause in the second half of the season,” they added.

DOVE FITS BACK INTO AMAKHOSI SQUAD

Furthermore, he returns as a registered Amakhosi player. Remember, Dove was de-registered as a Chiefs player a few months ago. This is because Amakhosi exceeded the PSL foreign quota. The policy allows five foreign-based players per Betway Premiership team.

However, Amakhosi had six players with Fiacre Ntwari, Inacio Miguel, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Edson Castillo, Christian Saille and Dove all in the Chiefs squad at the time.

Thereafter, they deregistered Dove to accommodate the aforementioned players.

So, now with Saile having joined up with SuperSport United, Dove has re-registered with Chiefs following his return from injury.
