As Europe’s biggest footballing competition, the UEFA Champions League concluded, the South African audience was treated to a star-studded event courtesy of Heineken.
The renowned Dutch brewing company recently treated local fans with the ultimate viewing experience, where fans gathered to watch the grand final between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan, which took place on Saturday.
The occasion featured a live broadcast of the UEFA Champions League final match alongside an immersive football experience, innovative hospitality, and appearances by celebrities, influencers, and local football legends.

The event was part of the Heineken 2025 campaign, which previously saw them welcome the German international World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger to local shores to parade the iconic Champions League trophy.
In April, he reflected on his time spent in Cape Town, particularly highlighting two distinct memories that continue to stick out were the renowned Cape Town stadium where they played against Argentina, and the famous song, called Shosholoza.

During his time, he toured parts of Cape Town as well as Johannesburg before jetting off to other parts of the African continent.
“This campaign has always been about more than just football, it’s about the real hardcore fans, passion and the power of shared moments,” reflects Bhavna Mistry.
“From the Gameplan with Lucas Radebe, Julia Stuart, FreshByCaddy and Gaisang Noge, Social Screen in Hyde Park to Schweinsteiger, we have connected football fans in ways that are genuinely meaningful. The Heineken House Ultimate Champions League Final Viewing Experience is our way of saying thank you and bringing it all together.”
