Meanwhile, severe thunderstorms, disruptive rain and damaging winds and waves have been predicted for KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Limpopoand parts of the Western Cape.
Disruptive rain, heavy downpours, and localised flooding could cause significant damage in these regions, leading to road closures, infrastructure damage, and mudslides.
These weather conditions typically result in serious disruptions to daily life, particularly for communities near flood-prone areas.
Emergency response teams will be on standby to clear roads, provide shelter, and offer assistance to those affected.
Residents in these areas are urged to stay updated regarding weather warnings and advisories from local authorities.

Meanwhile, the weather forecast for Saturday, 15 March shows isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in most parts of South Africa.

The extended weather outlook for Sunday, 16 March and Monday, 17 March once again shows isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers over the central and eastern parts of the country.
