Head injury ruled an ‘accident’

South African-born actress Esta TerBlanche’s cause of death has been revealed – and ruled it an “accident”. The former Egoliand All My Children star was found dead in her Los Angeles home last year.

She was 51 years old.

ESTA TERBLANCHE CAUSE OF DEATH REVEALED

According to the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner, Esta TerBlanche’s cause of death has been ruled an accident.

The official report states that the actress suffered “intracranial hemorrhage due to blunt force traumatic head injury likely due to a ground level fall.”

Esta was found unresponsive at her homeon 19 July 2024 and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Weeks before her death, Esta had returned to her home country, South Africa, where she visited her father and brother. After returning to her LA home, she had unreachable, claimed friends.

According to MailOnline,  Esta was found in her bathroom, surrounded by her numerous pets. These included rare animals that had to be removed by animal control. The actress was known for her love of exotic pets, which included squirrels, prairie dogs, Persian cats, and even a monkey.

REMEMBERED ON HER BIRTHDAY

Meanwhile, All My Children recently paid tribute to Esta TerBlanche on what would’ve been her 52nd birthday.

“May she continue to rest in peace,” read the post.

Esta was born in Rustenburg in 1973. After making her big break as Bienkie Naudé Hartman in Egoliin the early 90s, Esta moved to the US to pursue her acting career.

In 1997, she was cast as  Hungarian princess Gillian Andrassy in the daytime drama All My Children. Her character was killed off in 2001.

Over the years, Esta continued to pursue acting and filmmaking in various productions and even opened a beauty spa with a special focus on holistic healing.

According to The Mirror,Esta had teased a TV comeback shortly before her death.
