Elon Musk’s son Xmade an appearance in the Oval Office on Tuesday, where he was introduced by US President Donald Trump as a “high IQ individual.”
During the meeting, four-year-old X was seen exploring the Oval Office and mimicking his father, which Musk did not seem to mind. However, social media users quickly noticed X’s playful antics. At one point, he was perched on his father’s shoulder, playfully sticking his fingers in his ears.
Elon Musk’s son praised by Donald Trump
Trump, who seemed to enjoy X’s presence, referred to him as a “great guy.” “This is X, and he is a great guy. He is a high IQ individual,” Trump said.
It appeared that X was unfazed by Trump’s compliments and more interested in his own activities than in the meeting. In a video clip that went viral on X (formerly Twitter), X was presumably heard telling Trump, “I want you to shut your mouth.” Furthermore, he reportedly said to the president, “You are not the president; you need to go away.”
Since taking office, Trump has collaborated closely with Musk, even granting the billionaire a special government post. Musk was tasked with overseeing the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Social media users had differing opinions on Musk permitting his four-year-old to attend meetings in the White House.
@BobbySeeta wrote: “Elon even defies all of Trump’s rules! the dress code, and no kids allowed in the Oval Office or at work, proving once again that he is in charge and Trump is not. Musk and his 4-year-old son both interrupted Trump and Trump looked very angry and turned away from the kid.”
@RevJonnyT wrote: “I’m just waiting for the left to start ranting about “How come only Little X is allowed in the Oval Office? Why don’t we see more of Trump’s grandchildren, or nieces and nephews? Does Elon Musk’s sway over the president extend to his son as well?”
“If Elon Musk is allowed to bring his son to set him up for political worship in thirty years does this mean everyone else can? Or is the favouritism that ridiculous? tweeted @taking_flight4.
“President Trump wasn’t annoyed by or with Elon Musk and his son, he was annoyed, as always, with the fools from the Fake News media,” tweeted @RealTechZen.
Will the relationship between Trump and Elon last?
