Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of three players in the past few days.
Despite claiming the Nedbank Cup, Amakhosihave had a tough season, finishing ninth in the Betway Premiership. With Nasreddine Nabi desperate to change the club’s fortunes, Chiefs are offloading players to make room as they look to sign quality players for next season.
The players released are Sabelo Radebe, Njabulo Blom and Ranga Chivaviro. Other players such as George Matlou are rumoured to be on their way out while Fiarce Ntwari has attracted interest from other teams.
Kaizer Chiefs looking to rebuild
On Wednesday, the club released Chivaviro after two seasons despite the striker showing good form early in the season.
“Kaizer Chiefs will not be extending striker Ranga Chivaviro’s contract when it expires at the end of the month.
“The Limpopo-born attacker joined Amakhosi from Marumo Gallants in the 2023/24 season on a two-year deal. He scored nine goals and provided one assist in 45 official matches wearing Chiefs colours over two seasons.”
We thank Ranga for his positive contribution to the team and wish him all the best in his future exploits,” the club said in a statement.
With only Tashreeq Morris and Ashley Du Preez remaining as the club’s main strikers, Kaizer Chiefs will look to boost their attacking options when the transfer window opens.
