eThekwini Municipality updates status on beaches and pools

The eThekwini Municipality has released updated information regarding which beaches and public pools are safe for swimming.

According to the municipality, there are currently 21 Durban beaches that are open and regarded as safe for swimming, while two beaches have remained closed due to poor water quality.

These two beaches are Brighton Beach and Winkelspruit Beach.

“This status of beaches and pools will be updated as and when their status changes. You can still enjoy other recreational activities at closed beaches. You just can’t swim.” the municipality said.
