TV star and fashion designer Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa has spoken out about her marriage to internationally renowned DJ Black Coffee, which ended in divorce.

The couple had a traditional wedding in 2011, followed by a white wedding in 2017. However, in 2019, Enhle filed for divorce, citing infidelity as the cause of the separation.

The Blood Legacy actress revealed that DJ Black Coffee had fathered two children with two different women outside of their marriage.

ENHLE MBALI GETS CANDID ABOUT HER TROUBLED MARRIAGE

In a heartfelt interview with Relebogile Mabotja on 702, Enhle shared that she had remained faithful throughout their marriage.

“I’m proud of how I handled my marriage. I never cheated, not once, until the day I decided to leave because I could no longer take the punishment to myself. It’s multi-layered. But my non-negotiable was children in a marriage. Once there were two children by two different women, I said, ‘you don’t love me’. In fact, you’re going to kill me,” Enhle said.

“I lost a lot of respect for my partner. I forgave him for the apologies I never got. I forgave myself.”

She further shared that discovering Black Coffee had kids outside their marriage left her feeling shattered and unloved.

“When he had children outside the marriage, I knew he didn’t love me. I felt like staying would destroy me, so I ran for the sake of my kids,” she said.

ENHLE OFFERS ADVICE ON MARRIAGE

The actress also gave marriage advice, suggesting that people should wait until they are older and more established in life before getting married.

“I have a level of self-awareness that I didn’t have when I was 21. I have a level of strength that I didn’t have when I was 21. I have a level of self-respect that I didn’t have when I was 21.

“Get married when you are older, wiser, smarter, having accumulated your own and come into a space where, yes, you will grow together, but it doesn’t feel as if we’re following one direction. We’re both going in one direction together and we’ll reach it together,” Enhle said.
