Donald Trump honoured with Ula Fala after being ‘acknowledged’ by Roman Reigns?

United States (US) President Donald Trump was honoured this week with the Ula Fala, a traditional symbol of leadership and respect.

Interestingly, this recognition coincided with WWE superstar Roman Reigns publicly expressing his support for Trump. Roman Reigns, who is half Samoan and a former WWE champion, wears the Ula Fala to the ring. This traditional Samoan necklace is often donned by chiefs, orators, and other prominent individuals during significant ceremonies and social gatherings.

This week, Steven Cheung, Assistant to the President and White House Director of Communications, shared a photo of Trump receiving the Ula Fala, referring to him as his “Tribal Chief.”

When Trump appeared to be unfamiliar with the significance of the necklace, he was informed that the Ula Fala means “royalty” in Samoan culture. Trump then jokingly asked, “So does that make me royalty?!”

On Wednesday, Roman Reigns disclosed that he supports Donald Trump, even though he identifies as a Democrat. The former WWE champion stated that while he backs the president, he does not agree with everything Trump says or does.

“I support our president. Trump is one of those guys where he’s got a vast history and a huge background. He’s been in entertainment. He’s been in big business, politics. At this point, I’m supporting a bright future for our country. Positive and competent leadership. For us to be what we’re supposed to be—to be a world leader and carry that respect and do what a world power like us should be doing,” said Reigns.

Should Trump be wearing the Ula Fala?
