The next two days could be massive for Kaizer Chiefs as they look to bolster their squad in the window.

Chiefs find themselves fifth on the Betway Premiership and desperate for more quality and squad depth in 2025.

According to Soccer-Laduma, Chiefs have been offered a chance to sign left-sided Bolivian defender Marcelo Suarez.

Chiefs to be offered Suarez?

“Marcelo Suarez is from Bolivia, and he plays as a defender and is versatile as he can play in the different positions at the back. He can play as a left-footed centre-back and as a left-back. He plays for a club called Always Ready in Bolivia, but he is open to a move to the PSL. There are plans to offer him to Chiefs and that’s what his handlers are working on. He plays Copa America football and for the national team,” said the source to the same publication.

The links to Suarez are pretty interesting and surprising. Thus due to the fact that Chiefs are covered at left-centre back. As it stands, Rushwin Dortleyis number one choice in that department, followed by Thatoyaone Ditlhokwe.Even though it is said that the Bolivian international can also play left-back, so can the above options. Furthermore, a player like Bradley Cross can also play both centre-back and left-back.

Two forwards coming in!

Either way, Chiefs are expected to announce at least two transfers by the end of the current window. The previous week has been dominated by two deals for forwards reportedly agreed by Amakhosi. The first of which being a swap deal that sees striker Tashreeq Morris join from SuperSport United. That will see DRC star Christian Saileleave to join the Pretoria outfit. The other deal was for DRC international winger Glody Lilepo.  They agreed terms with both Lilepo and his club Valenciennes FC and the deal is set to be announced imminently.
