According to IOL, the news of Ebenhaezer Dibakwane’s passing was announced by his agency Pickledginger. The agency shared a statement regarding the news:

A friend to so many, he will be remembered for his off-the-wall humour, original style of stand-up comedy and the joy he brought to audiences across South Africa. Ebenhaezer Dibakwane’s brother, Lesedi Dibakwane, posted a statement as well. The cause of Dibakwane’s death has not been announced by his family, who might hope to keep this a private matter.
“Our hearts are broken as we announce the untimely passing of Ebenhaezer Dibakwane, beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and celebrated actor and comedian,” Lesedi wrote in an Instagram post. In addition to Lesedi, Dibakwane’s casting agency issued a statement.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of our talented actor, Ebenhaezer Dibakwane. We will forever cherish the laughter he shared, the memories we created, and the impact he made on all of us. During this difficult time, our hearts are with his family and loved ones,” the statement said.
“Rest in eternal peace, our brother and friend. Your legacy lives on, and we will continue to represent you with pride.” People would remember the actor for his roles.

As an actor, Ebenhaezer Dibakwane had iconic roles that South Africans will remember him for. His acting debut was when he was a guest star in the e.tv soapie Ashes to Ashes in 2015.
Some of his well-known roles include Divorced at 50, Real Estate Sisters, Catching Feelings, MTV Shuga Downsouth, Dancing with the Stars South Africa according to IOL who mentioned the cast, and Miseducation.
He did more than acting as well. In 2016, he became a presenter on the SABC1 show Walala Wasala. Along with his roles, the actor has previously won awards.

Ebenhaezer Dibakwane’s talent was clear to fans and critics. He has previously won the Newcomer Award at the 2016 Savanna Comic’s Choice Awards according to IOL.He also won the Intermediate Comedian of The Year in 2017 as according to Biz Community which announced the list of winners.
When it comes to nominations, Dibakwane had two nominations in the Savanna Comic’s Choice Awards aside from the awards he won. This includes a nomination for the Breakthrough Comedian of the Year category in 2024, and a nomination for Next Level Award in 2018.
The SAFTA committee gives awards in several categories, and Shaka iLembe won the most awards as a drama series last year.
