Fans of Kaizer Chiefs‘ DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) have seen this one for some time now.
According to Soccer Laduma, the DDC’s talented attacking midfielder, Tati, will sign a three-year deal and join the Amakhosi senior team sometime between this month and the end of the season in June.
BOBBY MOTAUNG FOR KAIZER CHIEFS LEADERSHIP
Remember Siboniso Gaxa at Kaizer Chiefs? The former full-back has suggested that Kaizer Motuang Jr is not the right man to lead the club.
Speaking on Robert Mawara’s SportsWorldWide show on 947, Gaxa believes that Bobby Motaung, who is the club’s Football Manager, should replace his Sporting Director brother, Kaizer Motaung Jr. Gaxa feels Kaizer Chiefs would then reclaim their lost glory. “I always think that Bobby should be given full responsibility, not half, but full responsibility to run the club. Bobby is an exceptionally incredible man. It’s unfortunate that people that don’t understand him, don’t know him.
“If Jessica Motaung [Marketing Director] and Bobby, both of them, can be given full responsibility to run that club; I strongly believe they would make exceptional changes. The club would then do well,” the former Kaizer Chiefs defender added.
EDMILSON DOVE TO LEAVE AMAKHOSI?
Kaizer Chiefs may disappoint a few fans with this one. As you may know, the 30-year-old left-central defender and left-back has been out for this entire season since he suffered a terrible ankle injury during pre-season in Turkey. According to a surprise report by Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs will not renew Dove’s contract when it ends in June.
“There was hope at some time that things could maybe work out for him but at this point in time his future at Chiefs will be coming to an end at the end of the season when his contract expires,” a source said to the publication. “The team has reached that decision looking at the situation around the defenders and mainly left back that he is apparently not needed. The club is believed to have communicated with the player about their decision and since he is still recovering from the injury then they will wait until the end of the season before they part ways.
An additional source added: “Dove would not be the only player whose contract is not renewed at the end of the season. The club is trying to cut down their squad numbers and that’s why Dove and other players whose contracts are coming to an end in June could be playing for the last time for the club. But all that will be communicated before the end of the season. So more players are expected to leave the village in June.”
