Mzansi’s most-loved cooking reality series, Celebrity MasterChef South Africa returns featuring a star-studded cast.
If you think it was over after, 20-year-old University of Free State consumer sciences student, Bridget Mangwandi’s historic win think again as mzansi celebs are set to battle it out in the kitchen and stand a chance to win amazing prices.
According to news publication, IOL, the season 6 winner will walk away with an R1 million cash prize that they can give away to any charity of their choice.
Speaking on the return of the cooking show, publicist for media company Primedia Studios, Lani Lombard, told the above-mentioned source that, “Celebrity MasterChef will have 12 beloved mzansi cuisine-crazy personalities, who can all cook up a storm. They will face the heat in the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen. While judges Justine Drake, Zola Nene, and Chef Katlego Mlambo will again scrutinise all the celebrities’ culinary creations, the spin-off will be served with delicious format twists.”
This season’s contestants include Miss South Africa runner-up and Miss Supranational SA 2023 Ayanda Thabethe, Seth Shezi, Bafana Bafana midfielder Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane, Bohang Moeko, Danie du Toit, renowned fashion brand founder of Imprint SA, Mzukisi Mbane and radio personality and reality star Dineo Ranaka.
MasterChef South Africa premieres on November 30th at 8:30 PM. The first four episodes will feature the celebrities competing for R20,000 to donate to their chosen charity. In the second round, it will be determined which contestants move on to the final round, where they will compete for the grand prize.
